Kitty torture? sairbare23rd Jul 2009
for the record, i did *not* make her swim. she was the one who jumped in both times. Krystal25th Jul 2009
I think I would qualify that as a fight or flight response....not a choice. sairbare26th Jul 2009
I find this disturbing. in not one of the photos does the cat seem relaxed or comfortable. in my experience cats universally *hate* water except for drinking. they don't even like the beach anonymous3rd Aug 2009
well i guess you had to be there and see for yourself huh? lauren4th Aug 2009
The whole point of socializing during the first six months of a cat or dog's life is to expose them to things they are not naturally comfortable with. Children, other animals, cars, bikes, wheelchairs, loud and strange noises, water, leashes, handling of the ears/mouth/belly/paws.. anything you can think of. I've done this with all of my animals and with the exception of my tortoishell, they have all been super relaxed and cool as adults no matter what environment they're in. Krystal6th Aug 2009
don't forget throwing fireworks at them. toughens them up anonymous8th Aug 2009
