walking in the snow...

with disko ... it's bitterly cold and my hands and face are freezing but it feels good ... i need a clear head to think about some things funny how life just doesn't come at us how we want it to ... there are tough choices to make when you find yourself between a rock and a hard place and the only guide is your heart ... but the noise from your ghosts makes it very hard to see where the right path is or even to know which way is up anymore the choices we make aren't always the right ones and the consequences of those choices can be so very hard to live with ... you would give almost anything to be able to turn back time a little bit so you could change how things worked out by making a different choice ... the old saying: "be careful what you ask for as you might just get it" keeps running through my head and i think i finally understand it fully for the very first time days go by...
