the lafayette war memorial

lots of white wooden crosses on a hill on somebody's private property in lafayette over in the east bay ... there is a proper furor going on from both sides of the opinion fence ... some see it as a poignant reminder of the true cost of the war in iraq while others see it as a cheap anti-war propaganda stunt ... and the city council is saying that the sign is too big and violates city ordinances the debate rages on seemingly without end just like the war
