and suddenly...

5 minutes later really thick fog ... one minute i am driving through hot baked valleys and hills under blue skies and then around a bend in the road and there is a wall of pea-soup fog ... it was actually quite freaky and a bit scary but most people drove safely enough the fog lasted for a good 60 or 70 miles north until the central valley (i think) started
